The Mitchell County Strong program started as a collaboration between the Solomon Valley Community Foundation, the Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce, and Solomon Valley Economic Development as a way to support local businesses, non-profits, and residents of Mitchell County during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started with a Buy 1, Give 1 program soon expanded to A Disaster Relief Fund, Hungry Hungry Heros program, and an MCS Online Auction. Mitchell County Strong has become a platform that will ​continue working to benefit, promote, and support the communities of Mitchell County. We are #MitchellCountyStrong

ASSISTANCE

Residents of Mitchell County affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are now able to apply for grocery assistance through the Mitchell County Strong Program. Eligibility will be determined by reduction of wages due to recent job status change, number of individuals within household, and other available household income

 In response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and the anticipation of future disasters, the Solomon Valley Community Foundation has created the Solomon Valley Disaster Relief Fund, which is now active to accept donations. Donations will be directed for relief and recovery efforts within our local communities of Mitchell County

MINI GRANTS

The Solomon Valley Community Foundation is now offering Mini-Disaster Relief Grants to help local non-profits during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Mini-Grants are made available by generous donations to the Disaster Relief Fund, as well as dollars allocated from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation.
