Within the past 5 years Mitchell County has invested over $10 MILLION into public infrastructure projects, with another $16+ MILLION slated for a future water plant. Over $5 MILLION has been invested into fiber optic making our area a certified smart rural community with high quality broadband. In addition, $28 MILLION has been invested into private capital improvements with revitalization programs throughout the county.

Mitchell County boasts award winning healthcare for short term, long term and transitional health needs. MCHHS is a level IV Trauma Center that was awarded an Athena Health "My Hospital My Community Award" and has recently opened two new services including an Outpatient Surgical Clinic and Senior Life Enrichment Program. Beloit Medical Center, P.A., consists of 5 family practice physicians, one Internal Medicine Specialist, and an APRN-C. The hospital also partners with over 15 specialty care providers offering satellite clinics in Beloit.
